Help with the UTC Swap iOS app and utcswap.com

What is UTC Swap?

UTC Swap converts a UTC date and time to local time in any timezone — or the other way around. Pick a date and time, choose a timezone, and the result updates instantly. Everything runs on your device; no account and no internet connection needed.

How do I switch conversion direction?

Use the toggle at the top: UTC → Local converts a UTC time into any timezone; Local → UTC reads your entered time in the selected timezone and shows the UTC equivalent. Switching direction keeps the same moment in time, so the result stays consistent.

Which timezone does the app pick by default?

Your device's current timezone. Tap the timezone field to choose any other IANA timezone — the list is searchable, and each entry shows its current GMT offset. Reset to my timezone brings back the default.

Are daylight saving changes handled?

Yes. Conversions use the timezone database built into iOS (and your browser, on the web), so GMT offsets and DST transitions are always accurate — including historical and future dates.

Why does the app not ask for any permissions?

Because it doesn't need any. UTC Swap makes no network requests and collects no data — see the privacy policy.
